Da Novembre 2023 siamo partner associate del Progetto LGBTQIA!+ - Let's Go Beyond Talk, Turn Quickly Into Action!, che riunisce associazioni di 4 paesi europei che, su vari fronti, lavorano sui temi dell'inclusione sociale e della tutela dei diritti delle persone della comunità LGBTQIA+.
Si è appena conclusa una sessione a Valencia, presso la sede di Lambda.
Per chi si chiedesse cosa avviene agli incontri, diciamo subito che non c’è una risposta semplice, così come non esiste una risposta semplice, univoca, o una formula magica sempre valida quando si toccano tematiche sensibili come queste.
Quelli di questo progetto sono incontri plurali: diversi paesi (Italia, Polonia, Spagna, Paesi Bassi) a diversi gradi di “evoluzione” in merito ai diritti civili e alla rappresentazione delle minoranze; diverse specificità e soggettività; diverse prospettive sul presente e soprattutto sul futuro delle persone che non rientrano e non vogliono rientrare nella fantomatica “norma”, nel binarismo, nella conformità dei corpi. Si discute di privilegio sociale, di percorsi di vita, di costruzione di comunità e di tante cosucce come queste, che costantemente si intersecano e si compongono tra loro.
Questa pluralità è entusiasmante, ma anche faticosa. Durante le discussioni e le attività, ciascun*, oltre a ragionare sui propri desideri, si scontra inevitabilmente con i propri limiti, con piccoli e grandi fraintendimenti e incomprensioni, con gli stereotipi e i pregiudizi in cui la società ci immerge costantemente.
E come costruire allora, ed estendere, uno spazio che accolga veramente, che permetta la coabitazione, uno spazio sicuro? Come trovare legame tra specificità e bisogni differenti, riconoscendoli, rispettandoli e dando loro voce e supporto? Qual è il nostro terreno comune, o per meglio dire, la nostra visione comune, il nostro comune intento?
Ci accomuna il desiderio di esplorare e rinnovare linguaggio, di fare rete sulle buone pratiche già attive e di diffonderle, di immaginarne di nuove, su più livelli (dall’educazione alla politica) mettendo al centro di tutto la persona, con il suo corpo, la sua identità, la sua espressione di genere, i suoi bisogni, la sua unicità.
Non stanchiamoci di questa pluralità, che è ricchezza e bellezza, andiamone a caccia, superiamo la fatica del confronto per incontrare la gioia della condivisione delle esperienze.
Essere tutt* divers* e tutt* pari, respirare insieme.
La seconda sessione a Valencia è stata condotta da Dideas e Metodi, in collaborazione con i partner di progetto Communia, Youth Support Centre, Stichting Art.1 e i partner associati.
Since November 2023 we are associated partners of the LGBTQIA!+ Project - Let's Go Beyond Talk, Turn Quickly Into Action!, which brings together associations from 4 European countries that, on various fronts, work on social inclusion and human rights related to the LGBTQIA+ community.
A session has just ended in Valencia, hosted by Lambda.
For those wondering what happens during these meetings, we have no simple answers, just as there is no simple, unambiguous answer or magic formula that always works when such sensitive issues are touched.
This project lives on plural meetings: different countries (Italy, Poland, Spain, Netherlands) with different degrees of "evolution" regarding civil rights; different specificities and subjectivities; different perspectives on the present and above all on the future of people who do not fit and do not want to fit into the phantom "norm", into binarism, into the conformity of bodies. We talk about social privilege, life paths, community building and many other things, which constantly intersect and combine with each other.
This plurality is exciting, but also hard. During discussions and activities, each person, reasoning about their own desires, inevitably clashes with their own limits, with small and large misunderstandings and lacks of understanding, with the stereotypes and biases in which society constantly immerses us.
How to build then - and extend - a space that truly welcomes, that allows cohabitation, a safe space? How to find a connection between different specificities and different needs, recognizing and respecting them and giving them voice and support?
What is our common ground, or rather, our common vision, our common aim?
What brings us together is the desire to explore and renew language, to network on good european practices and to spread them, to imagine new ones, on multiple levels (from education to politics) putting the person at the center of everything, with their body, their identity, their gender expression, their needs, their uniqueness.
Let's not get tired of this plurality, which is richness and beauty. Let's look for it, let's overcome the labor of comparison to encounter the joy of sharing experiences.
